Significance: Eastern Zheng kai City Demonstration Area Water Supply Project is one of the 9 key water conservancy projects in Henan Province. It is a major cross-regional water diversion project for Zhengzhou City to make full use of the water source of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project and improve the water quality of urban residents. It is also a major livelihood project. The overall project is expected to be completed in June next year. The scope of water supply will cover 1,800 square kilometers in Huiji District, Zhengdong New District, Economic Development Zone, and Zhongmu County of Zhengzhou City, serving a population of more than 4 million people. It will be the project which servicing the largest population in Henan Province.
