Jacking Distance: Divided into 5 jacking sections, the total length of the center line is about 6.18km, and the total length of the pipe jacking in the J1-J2 section is 83.302 meters

Difficulties: The pipe jacking machine starts from J1 and excavates from west to east along the -22.4‰ downhill slope, passing through Xinggang Road, Songyu Middle Road, signal towers and sewage pipes, etc.; the interval is upper soft and lower hard strata, The control of the curved section is difficult and demanding; there is a boulder in the section, and a bedrock protrusion with a length of 62.8m. Before the pipe jacking construction, it needs to be blasted. The construction is difficult and the risk is high.

Significance: The project is about 6.3 kilometers long, with 12 working shafts in total. It is constructed by a combination of shield tunneling + pipe jacking + cut and cover method. It is currently the longest comprehensive pipeline tunnel across the sea in the country. Such a long-distance large-diameter pipe jacking construction and multiple crossing of hard rock and small curve radius sections is the first time in the previous performance of Xiamen City and even the whole province. As a "double key project" of Fujian Province and Xiamen City, the project can meet the production and living electricity and water needs of nearly a quarter of the residents of Xiamen Island after completion, greatly releasing the upper part of the city along the current overhead line, and greatly improving the life of Xiamen. The improvement in quality and tourism has far-reaching consequences.
