On June 24th, the "Dashun" earth pressure balance shield TBM independently developed by Tangxing Technology successfully started excavation in the Chongqing Dadukou 110 kV Baiao Line No. 7 to 19 Relocation Project, marking the official entry of the project into the shield construction stage and pressing the efficient "start button" for the entire project process.

The "Dashun" shield TBM has a cutter head excavation diameter of 4.9 meters and a total machine length of about 65 meters. It integrates innovative technologies such as longitudinal slope turning propulsion alternate zoning technology and screw machine mucking prevention and surge recovery technology. The length of the shield tunnel of this project is 2.806km. The axis of the tunnel fluctuates significantly, and it passes through upper soft and lower hard strata multiple times. The strata are complex, the rock strength fluctuates violently, the shallowest covering soil depth reaches 7m, and it needs to cross viaducts and minimum turns. The radius is only 250 meters. These harsh engineering conditions place extremely high demands on the stability and turning capabilities of the shield TBM.

Faced with the challenge, the Tangxing Technology design team carefully optimized the installed power, cutter head wear resistance, and escape torque of the shield TBM. In particular, the cutter head design adopted a composite structure of "four spokes + four panels", providing strong technical support for the smooth completion of subsequent tunnel construction.

At the same time, Tangxing Technology's project service team focused on the "full life cycle" management of the shield TBM, providing comprehensive maintenance services from hoisting down the shaft, assembly and commissioning to acceptance of starting conditions to ensure that the shield TBM can be launched smoothly, providing a solid guarantee for the successful progress of the entire project.

It is reported that the project is of great significance for promoting the full integration of Dadukou District into the rapid development of Chongqing. After the project is completed, it will accelerate the pace of urban construction in the area and provide strong support for the economic and social development of Chongqing.
