On the morning of May 28th, the "Qingsheng No.1" Slurry Pressure Balance Shield TBM was successfully rolled off at Tangxing Technology’s Trenchless Equipment Industrial Park. Many industry leaders and guests attended the event to witness this important moment.

The "Qingsheng No.1" Slurry Pressure Balance Shield TBM, with a diameter of 4.36 meters and a total length of 80 meters, is primarily responsible for the cable tunnel excavation task of the 220 kV power transmission line relocation project in the Qingsheng Hub Block, Nansha District, Guangzhou. The total tunneling length of the project reaches 5137.5 meters, with a  maximum single jacking distance of 2198.9 meters. It needs to pass through complex geological strata including fine sand, silt, clay, and mudstone, and will face a series of construction challenges such as shallow covering soil settlement control and plane sharp curve turn.

In response to the characteristics of the project, Tangxing Technology, in collaboration with other participating parties, carried out customized research and development of the equipment: the main body adopts a double-spherical hinge structure, and flexible steering is achieved through optimized mechanical linkage to achieve R80-meter turning radius. Four core technologies are integrated — high thrust, high torque anti-jamming technology to improve rock-breaking efficiency in hard rock strata, intelligent slurry circulation monitoring technology to ensure construction safety, combination high-pressure sealing technology to handle complex hydrological environments, and modular split starting technology to optimize on-site assembly processes, forming a full-process technical guarantee system.

In recent years, Tangxing Technology's market share in small-diameter shield TBMs and TBMs has steadily increased. With continuous investment in research and development and technological innovation, the company has successfully developed several iconic tunneling machines, such as the conical jacking and tunnelling machine, downward muck discharge shield TBM, and open TBM, with related results applied to several national key projects.
