Project Difficulties: Crossing the mountains, crossing the strata of most of the full-section hard rock, locally very hard rock, rock pipe jacking route is long, the burial depth is large, and the geological conditions are complex.

Project Significance: The total length of the water transmission line of Han River-Rong River-Lian River Water System Connection Optimization Project is about 71.65 kilometers. The total estimated investment of the project is 101.18 billion yuan, the total construction period is 40 months, and it is expected to be completed and put into use in early 2026. After completion, the project will increase the average annual water supply in eastern Guangdong by 311 million cubic meters, benefiting more than 8.5 million people. It will also increase the water supply and emergency water supply capacity in eastern Guangdong, forming a sustainable water supply guarantee system that adjusts water supply during drought and flood seasons, complements multiple water sources.
